Brief Description: The Women's Resource Center of Winona (WRC) was founded in 1978 by a group of women committed to the common mission of ending domestic violence and sexual assault. Essential cornerstones of the WRC's mission include recognizing and advocating a woman's right to self-determination and self-direction. Services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assualt.

Full description: Provides 24 hour advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, safehome network, support groups, community education, professional advocate training. Wisewomen Advisory Council advocacy and outreach to older women. Advocates to assist victims are available 24 hours a day. After hours, call 452-4453, and an advocate will be called. They also have a Toll-Free phone #877-972-7353.

Eligibility: Victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Volunteers: Volunteer advocates to run crisis line - required to do a 45 hour training to be eligible. Volunteer opportunities available to answer phones or help with specific events (i.e. Gala, Kids Summer Garden)
