RESOURCE: WINONA SENIOR ADVOCACY PROGRAM
Brief Description: Provides information, referral and assistance in areas of housing, health insurance counseling, money management, transportation and government benefits. Advocates may provide community education on senior services and benefits. See Full Description for further information.

Full description: The Advocacy Program assists older citizens to remain independent in their homes. Home or office visits are available by appointment. Advocates may assess the needs of older adults and link them with the available services. Advocates may maintain contact to ensure that services are provided as needed. Office maintains list of private pay senior service providers. Facilitates Parkinson's Disease Support Group each month.

Eligibility: Anyone ages 60 and over in Winona County is eligible to receive advocacy services.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please leave a message after hours or when advocate is out of the office.

Fees: None; however, donations to Advocacy program are accepted.
